Welcome to the wild world at Hawken School!

Although Hawken School may wish to extol the appearance of a well-civilized place, don't let the admissions department or the administration fool you. At Hawken there is a wild side. In fact, it's one of the best resources here.
All 360 acres of it.

While the Hawken front lawn and the Hawken playing fields are the perfect picture of manicuring excellence, most of the property at Hawken is basically free to grow as it will. The large section of woods behind the main academic building, the meadow at the corner of Sherman and County Line Roads, the old orchards and thickets to the north of the main driveway, the bog area to the south of the track, the creek and the pond all provide great places for wildlife to live.

Take a look around and see for yourself!
